Electronic Tagging Customers Go Live with E-Tag 1.8
Houston, TX. – December 5, 2007 –
SoftSmiths, Inc., a leading energy software solutions
and services company, today announced that its customers
went live with SoftSmiths Electronic Tagging 1.8
yesterday. SoftSmiths Electronic Tagging is a NERC e-Tag
1.8 compliant solution, providing Agent, Approval, and
Authority services.
Following the release of E-Tag 1.7 in
2002, and enhancements to that specification from 2002
through early 2007, the North American Energy Standards
Board’s (NAESB) Joint Interchange Scheduling Working
Group has been working on E-Tag 1.8, a major update, for
scheduled release on December 4, 2007. SoftSmiths has
been successfully participating in the interoperability
testing for this release since early August.
