E-Tag Portal achieves milestone of 2 million tag messages;
now ready for E-Tag 1.7

13, 2001 – Today,
SoftSmiths announced that one of its customers, Bonneville
Power Administration, reached a milestone of 2 million
tag messages involving approximately 400,000 tags. SoftSmiths
delivers critical e-Business solutions and services that
enable the energy industry participants to enhance profitability
and reliability in the competitive marketplace.
Building on a history of outstanding
performance, this result demonstrates the reliability
of the Electronic
Tagging Portal Suite (ETPS), which provides virtually
limitless scalability and availability. ETPS includes
three components – e-Agent, e-Authority and e-Approval – and
enables all entities (Control Area Operators, Purchasing/Selling
Entities, Transmission Providers, Load Serving Entities,
and Generation Producers) involved in energy delivery
transactions to create, verify, approve and manage
transactions electronically using the Internet as its
platform.

new implementation date of March 6, 2002 only 4 months
away, SoftSmiths is ready to assist its customers with
