SoftSmiths' Announces SoftSmiths e-Link Exchange API

Houston, TX. – November 10, 2007 – SoftSmiths, Inc., a leading energy software solutions and services company, today announced the release of SoftSmiths e-Link Exchange, an add-on Application Programming Interface (API) providing the ability to automatically populate exchange trades details directly into SoftSmiths’ end-to-end Power and Gas transaction management suites.

SoftSmiths e-Link Exchange seamlessly connects to exchanges, such as the Inter Continental Exchange (ICE), thereby delivering straight-through-processing from exchange trade execution to scheduling and settlement. This means that a deal is entered into the system, scheduled and / or booked out, checked out, and settled as a single object, with a single audit trail documenting all actions taken on it.

SoftSmiths Power/Gas system provides an integrated front-to-back transaction management solution with the ability to manage physical and financial energy transactions, and is capable of supporting standard business processes of power and gas trading, economical & reliability resource analysis (load and resource balance), credit exposure, contract administration, scheduling, OASIS reservations, NERC tagging, checkout, invoicing, risk measurement and reporting. The system provides a single point of entry for deal capture, as well as automates and streamlines aforementioned processes

SoftSmiths e-Link Exchange API is used in production by SoftSmiths customers and achieved API certification before deployment.
