SoftSmiths delivers Curtailment Calculator to Portland General Electric

Houston, TX. – November 5, 2002 – Today, SoftSmiths announced the deployment of its Curtailment Calculator at Portland General Electric (PGE), enabling them to perform automated curtailment in the real-time environment. The Curtailment Calculator determines which schedules will need to be reduced to perform a schedule curtailment, or which reservations will need to be adjusted to perform a reservation curtailment, and also provides the ability for schedulers to monitor transmission usage.
