Grant County PUD Takes Delivery of SoftSmiths’ e-Merchant core system
Houston, TX. – November 1, 2003 – SoftSmiths,
Inc. announced today that Grant County Public Utility
District took delivery of its e-Merchant’s core
system, a real-time Energy Transaction Management system.
The Grant County Public Utility District (GCPUD), located
in Central Washington, is a municipal corporation of
the state of Washington, and a major generating utility
and Control Area Operator in the Mid-Columbia region.
GCPUD selected SoftSmiths e-Merchant Product Suite
to implement a Transactional Energy Scheduling System
to replace an array of Excel spreadsheets and loosely
integrated Access databases and deploy a comprehensive
scheduling system that provides seamless integration
from origination through settlement.
