SoftSmiths Announces ERCOT SCR-727 ESIID Database
Houston, TX. – October 15, 2009 –
SoftSmiths, Inc., a leading energy software solutions
and services company, today announced the release of
SoftSmiths ERCOT SCR-727 ESIID Database, an on-line
Software-as-a-Service application that provides ERCOT
Retail Electric Providers (REPs) an easy-to-use ability
to store and maintain data that ERCOT periodically
provides on the service history and electricity
consumption of their customers.
ERCOT's SCR 727 ESIID Service History &
Usage Extract data provides transparency to REPs for
ESIID level data that ERCOT utilizes in market
settlement.
SoftSmiths SCR-727 ESIID Database is a
separate application service that complements the
SoftSmiths ERCOT Forecaster application. As the load
forecasting is partly based on historical usage, the
SCR-727 ESIID database allows the REP to maintain
service history of their customers based on SCR-727 data
received from ERCOT, while also being able to meet
requirements of their wholesalers. It provides a user
interface that allows selecting and viewing ESIID
service history, usage, and interval meter reads.
Because SoftSmiths understands it is
critical for the REP to closely manage customer
ownership and maintain accurate service history in a
dynamic customer environment, the module can further be
configured to compare the SCR-727 ESIID data with the
data in their internal Billing system, thereby
identifying discrepancies and ensuring the integrity of
the customer billing information.
SoftSmiths ERCOT SCR-727 application
service can be accessed through the Internet Explorer
browser. No other software or hardware needed.
