SoftSmiths Collaborates with Deloitte & Touche to
Deliver ETRM Solution
Houston, TX. – July 10, 2007 –
SoftSmiths, Inc., a leading energy software solutions
and services company, today announced a collaboration
with Deloitte & Touche LLP to implement SoftSmiths'
Energy Trading Risk Management systems (ETRMS) at
Anaheim Public Utilities. Deloitte was selected by
Anaheim to assist in the project management of the
implementation and integration of the SoftSmiths Power
and SoftSmiths Market-CAISO systems which Anaheim
recently selected to replace existing systems for power
and gas trading, electronic scheduling, settlement of
bilateral trades and interface with the California ISO.
As SoftSmiths is implementing the
software applications, Deloitte is working with Anaheim
personnel to provide technical advice, develop test
plans, document new processes and procedures, manage
cutover, monitor project progress, as well as services
related to the Market Redesign Technology Upgrade (MRTU)
on the part of the California Independent System
Operator (CAISO).
The seamlessly integrated SoftSmiths
Power and SoftSmiths Market-CAISO solution provides
CAISO market participants front-to-back energy
transaction management functionality, including Load
Forecasting, Resource & Portfolio Management, Real-time
and Term Trading, Scheduling, NERC Electronic Tagging,
Financial Settlement, Invoicing, Payment Tracking and
Reporting. SoftSmiths Power/SoftSmiths Market provides
multi-participant functionality to support Scheduling
Coordinators who act on behalf other CAISO participants.
