County PUD Licenses SoftSmiths' e-Merchant Product
Suite
Houston, TX. – June 17, 2003 – Today,
SoftSmiths announced that Public Utility District No.
2 of Grant County, has licensed SoftSmiths' e-Merchant
product suite for its Transactional Energy Scheduling
System. The Grant County Public Utility District, located
in Central Washington, is a municipal corporation of
the state of Washington. The District is a major generating
utility and Control Area Operator in the Mid-Columbia
region. Electricity is sold on a nonprofit retail basis
to Grant County residents and wholesale to utilities
serving customers in seven Western and Northwestern
states. SoftSmiths delivers critical e-Business solutions
