a Retail Electric Provider (REP) serving residential and
business customers in Texas, selected SoftSmiths ERCOT
Forecaster, a Software-as-a-Services (SaaS) forecasting
application for ERCOT REPs.
The SoftSmiths ERCOT Forecaster will
help APNA Energy to manage their forecast process more
effectively, spend less time on data analysis and
administration, thereby improving daily operations,
market planning, and risk management.
Based on SoftSmiths’ proven SoftSmiths
Market-ERCOT platform, SoftSmiths ERCOT Forecaster is an
easy-to-use Software-as-a-Services (SaaS) forecasting
application that enables REPs to automatically download
and present ERCOT Forecast and Backcast information in
user-ready format. Users can compare Forecast and
Backcast data with settlement level load extracts.
SoftSmiths ERCOT Forecaster allows users to set up ‘What
If’ scenarios based on different client profile counts
and export data into Microsoft Excel for additional
analysis.
