The integration between SoftSmiths Market-CAISO and SoftSmiths Power:

• Allows Anaheim traders to work in a deal capture system, with support for long-term and short-term deals, multiple trades with any counterparty, trades both inside and outside CAISO. 

• Provides Anaheim overall position in daily load obligations, resources, and trades

• Download trades done on the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE)

• Determines what trades and schedules need to be submitted to CAISO, automatically structuring the information in the form needed by CAISO.  For example, it will aggregate all of the buy or sale deals with a counterparty at a location to send a single MW profile to CAISO.

• Allows the entry of self-schedules, bids, and offers into SoftSmiths Power on a resource-specific basis, where they can be checked not to exceed capacity, and then automatically aggregate them into tiered pricing structures for submission to CAISO.

• Enables Power Schedules to be automatically tagged including CAISO specific miscellaneous info values. Adjusting the schedules will automatically send the tag adjustment request, and schedules adjusted after the close of the Day-Ahead market will automatically be included in the submission to the Real-Time market.

• Allows Day-Ahead and Real-Time market results to automatically update resources and self-schedules in the SoftSmiths Power system.

• Processes ADS award instructions and enables Real-Time schedulers to enter and submit their acknowledgements.

• Seamlessly integrates with ACS Atlanta EMS/SCADA system for meter data values

• Interfaces with AMS Financial system by sending invoice data and receiving payment data thereby automatically updating credit exposure and trading limits.

SoftSmiths Power/SoftSmiths Market provides multi-participant functionality to support Anaheim’s duties as Scheduling Coordinator for other participants.
