Renewable Power Scheduled Using SoftSmiths CAISO MRTU

integrated CAISO MRTU market participant solution -
SoftSmiths Power and SoftSmiths Market-CAISO - provides
the energy scheduling and accounting software
functionality for some of the renewal power resources at
Metropolitan Water District and Ridgewood Renewable
Power that are scheduled into the California ISO (CAISO)
market. The CAISO Market Redesign and Technology Upgrade
(MRTU) is going live on April 1, and participants will
begin operating under a new set of wholesale market
rules and financially binding settlement results.
Ridgewood Renewable Power is an owner
and operator of renewable energy and infrastructure
projects. Located at Brea, near Los Angeles, the project
is fueled by methane gas from the Olinda landfill. The
Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is
the nation's largest provider of treated drinking water
and has a total of 16 hydroelectric generation
facilities that are connected to the power grid.
SoftSmiths functionality is used to schedule 4 MWD
hydroelectric power resources.

CAISO market participants proven front-to-back energy
